Touch Wood
Exhibition catalog for "Touch Wood," an exhibition mounted at Dray Walk Gallery in London in October 2019.
The show was set up to raise money to protect threatened habitats, restore tropical forests and reduce the world's carbon footprint.
Born out of a deep love for nature, the project, imagined and curated by Thomas Danthony and Clare Mabin, showcases a community of artists, designers, and illustrators who have been asked to express what nature means to them by contributing an original piece of art, created on a wooden board.
This book reproduces work featured in the show and includes pieces by artists, designers, and illustrators, including Jean Jullien, Malika Favre, Hey Studio, Virginie Morgand, Cody Hudson, Emily Forgot, Nathalie Du Pasquier, Quentin Monge, and many more.
The title of both the exhibition and the book relates back to the expression "touch wood"—and the contributed works may be considered lucky charms as the world faces its collective future.
