Ordering and Shipping

Thank you for supporting a small, family-run, and independent business. During holiday periods, order processing times may be slightly delayed due to increased demand. We appreciate your understanding that we cannot cancel orders or apply discounts retroactively. Please check your order carefully when checking out. 

Free Domestic Shipping Offer
Any order over $200 qualifies for free domestic shipping with code FRESH24. Orders will ship via USPS Media Mail or UPS Ground, depending on the weight, location, and rate, regardless of the shipping option selected at checkout. Please note that Priority Mail is not available with the free shipping offer.

We Ship Worldwide
Orders ship via USPS Media Mail (within the U.S.) or USPS First Class International (outside the U.S.). Some domestic orders may be upgraded to UPS at no additional cost, based on weight and location.

For faster delivery, Priority Mail upgrades are available for both domestic and international shipments. However, USPS Priority Mail delivery estimates are not guaranteed.

We also offer UPS Standard service within the U.S. and Canada, as well as DHL Express for select international locations. Canadian and Mexican customers, please note that customs fees may apply.

Priority Mail and Insurance
USPS Priority includes up to $50 of insurance for most domestic shipments (some restrictions apply). For Priority Mail International, merchandise is insured up to $200, and non-negotiable documents are insured up to $100 for document reconstruction at no additional cost.

Recommended Shipping Carriers
For domestic and international shipments, we recommend UPS and USPS Priority Mail. For international orders, DHL Express is also a reliable option where available.

Fulfillment
Orders are processed as soon as possible and generally ship within 1-7 business days unless otherwise noted. This refers to the processing and packaging time and does not include the actual delivery time. Please note that choosing a faster shipping method does not expedite the processing time; it only affects the speed of delivery once your order has shipped. Occasionally, delays may occur due to unforeseen circumstances. You will receive an email notification once your package has shipped.

If an item is out of stock, fulfillment may be delayed, or the order may be canceled and refunded. In the event of a cancellation, we will notify you via email.

Discount Codes
Please note that discount codes cannot be applied retroactively once an order has been placed.

Tracking
Once your order ships, you'll receive an email with available tracking information. Please note that for international orders, tracking may only show updates within the United States. For more information about your delivery, visit USPS or the carrier’s website. For international deliveries, please contact your local postal service for further tracking.

Draw Down is unable to provide additional tracking information once your package has shipped. Any inquiries should be directed to the carrier (USPS, UPS, DHL) or your local postal service.

Lost, Stolen, Damaged, or Returned Mail
We cannot be held responsible for lost, stolen, returned, or damaged mail. Customers who opt for USPS Priority Mail or UPS receive limited insurance coverage (restrictions apply). If your mail is damaged, please retain all packaging and be prepared to present it to USPS or UPS for a claim.

Attempted Deliveries
We are not responsible for packages returned due to missed deliveries. Please use the tracking number provided to monitor the status of your delivery. Contact your local post office to reschedule missed deliveries promptly. If a package is returned, additional shipping fees will apply.

International Customs, Fees, and Taxes
Any customs fees or taxes imposed by your local postal service or government are the responsibility of the customer. We are not liable for packages returned due to unpaid customs fees or taxes.

As of July 1, 2020, EU customers are required to pay VAT on goods purchased from Draw Down. If VAT charges are not paid upon delivery, the shipment will be abandoned, and we will not issue a refund. Please note that VAT charges may exceed the value of the merchandise.

Overweight Packages
We strive to keep international shipping costs low. For international orders over 4 lbs., additional postage may be required. In such cases, we will contact you. This is rare and usually applies to very heavy books.

Sales and Discounts
Sign up for our newsletter to receive updates on special sales and discount codes. Unless otherwise specified, sale codes apply to everything in the store except a few rare titles sold at or near cost.

Pre-Orders
Orders containing both in-stock and pre-order items will be held until all items are available to ship. If you’d prefer to receive in-stock items sooner, we recommend placing a separate order for pre-order items.

To ship in-stock items from a combined order, please contact us at hello.drawdown@gmail.com with your order number. We will send an invoice for the additional shipping cost.

All pre-sales and pre-orders are final. Once an order is placed, it cannot be canceled or modified to help us manage inventory and ensure timely delivery.

Release dates for pre-sale items are estimates and may change without notice.

Canceling Orders
Orders cannot be canceled. Please review your order carefully before submitting it.
