During their residency at CAC Brétigny, graphic designers and typographers Coline Sunier and Charles Mazé are in charge of the art centre’s visual identity, conceived as a long-term research project.
The ABCC of CACB is a collection of letters, signs, and symbols made or selected in relation to the art centre, its programming, and the artists who exhibit their work. This corpus is embodied in a new typeface called LARA, activated through communication materials.
By associating multiple voices within the same typeface—whose glyphs continue to grow in number—with writings that are alternately vernacular, institutional, personal, and public, they examine the geographic, political, and artistic context of CAC Brétigny.
