Pirouettes / William Knight
A work that explores the physical beauty that can be found in the most unlikely of situations and is a personal exploration fueled by the tragic death of a childhood friend in a road accident. Visually comparing the two acts of ballet dancing and car crashes—which on paper seem to be opposites of one another—the juxtapositions in this volume explore the idea that these acts are far more similar than one would imagine, with the beauty and elegance exuded by acts like ballet also being found in even the most tragic and ugly of scenarios.
