Opacity Engraving brings together a selection of 71 drawings produced by Karl Nawrot in February 2023 while developing the typeface NOVA for James Langdon’s project Neurovague, a website that generates abstract images for neuroscientists to use in presentations of their research.

The drawings are reproduced in the order they were made. The title comes from the first Neurovague composition typeset in NOVA (pp. 73–74).
