Holes Hold (Playing Card Deck)
Holes do not remove information. They construct it.
This deck of playing cards, designed by graphic designer Haoteng Zhu, is reimagined as a wearable system, designed to be connected, assembled, and carried rather than played by fixed rules.
Each card is built on a seven-hole grid, with perforations that serve as structural and visual anchors. Threaded, linked, and recombined, the grid generates every card identity from 2–10, A, J, Q, K, and Joker, replacing the traditional printed hierarchy with a visual system constructed through physical relationships.
