Eye Magazine, Issue 101
The International Review of Graphic Design
Eye is the world’s most beautiful and collectable graphic design journal, published quarterly for professional designers, students and anyone interested in critical, informed writing about graphic design and visual culture.
Charts, grids and infographics became familiar to all in 2020, when the old and new, hot and cold media understood that data visualization was the language of the pandemic.
Inside issue 101 you'll find, among other things, discussion of the pervasiveness of data visualization ("The pandemic that launched a thousand visualizations"), as well as discussion of how even the letter press has changed to reflect the turbulent year of 2020. Other articles cover the new fashion of crowdfunding the printing of books, and reflections on how much a designers should study and do research without the pressure of work and deadlines. There's also a review of Sarah Boris's letterpress collaboration with New North Press, an interview with Argentinian designer Mario Eskenazi, and a profile of Anette Lenz.
