Chaumont 2004: 15th International Poster and Graphics Festival Catalog
The 2004 catalog of the 15th International Poster and Graphic Arts Festival of Chaumont (France) presents 100 selected posters from the festival’s International Competition, which were selected from a pool of 1,800 new works by 600 graphic designers from around the world.
The catalog also documents exhibitions featuring works by Pierre di Sciullo, a joint presentation of London-based designers Graphic Thought Facility (GTF) and Paul Elliman, and a major selection of posters and photomontages by Roman Cieslewicz. Additionally, the catalog highlights Willem’s drawings, which brought current events into the Chaumont's public spaces.
Includes full-color reproductions of all winning entries, along with a series of bilingual articles and essays. Catalogs for Chaumont's poster competition—one of the longest running competitions in Europe—are capsules of global design trends and the intersection of design with history, culture, and society.
