Le Gun #6
Somewhere between art object and pulp fiction, LE GUN is a large format, independently published compendium of narrative art, featuring a riotous array of work by international artists, designers, and writers, celebrated and unknown.
Called a “forum for experimentation” and compared to forerunners Raw, Bazooka, L’Assiette au Beurre, and Archigram by Eye Magazine.
The sixth issue of this narrative art magazine returns after an eight-year hiatus. Conceived as a response to the madness and extremes of contemporary culture, the result is a bountiful collection of unruly and comical work from a wide range of artists including Will Sweeney, Jim Stoten, Tomi Ungerer, Lawrence Ferlinghetti, and Ralph Steadman.
Established in 2004, LE GUN is an art collective consisting of five artist illustrators (Bill Bragg, Chris Bianchi, Neal Fox, Robert Rubbish, and Steph von Reiswitz) with two designers (Alex Wright and Matthew Appleton) who met at London’s Royal College of Art. As a team of artists, they create idiosyncratic imagery, which blends a punk, occult, pop and surrealist aesthetic.
Edited and designed by Matthew Appleton, Bill Bragg, Neal Fox, Robert Rubbish, Stephanie von Reiswitz, and Alex Wright
