To Perform: Making Public
A collective publication by students studying experimental publishing at the School of Design at the University of Tennessee.
To Perform explores and documents an array of performative acts, planned by students, in public spaces. Produced in the first months of 2021, this work collects images documenting these public performances, capturing and revealing the kinds of "public acts" that were possible in the era of COVID-19. These dated images are accompanied by inventories and links to full video pieces or more extensive photo narratives.
Includes work by Avery Jones, Brandon Gardner, Casey Taylor, Courtney Apedaile, Gabe Eckstein, Kailey Kear, Kennedy Davis, Michael Bloodworth, Ryan Cook, SarahCatherine Kirk, Tanner Dunning, Taylor Kolnick, Madeline Smith, Martha Ryan, and Matt Rightsell
