Exuberant, subdued, classic, experimental, large audience books and self-published editions: great diversity characterizes The Best Dutch Book Designs 2022. The selection of 33 books, chosen by an international jury from among 262 submissions, highlights outstanding book design. Titles were chosen for the excellence of their design, typography, binding, lithography, and balance of form and content.

This catalog, designed by Akiko Wakabayashi, includes an introduction discussing developments and trends from the past year, as well as an ode to the book written by artist Natasja Kensmil.
