White Bricks / John Pound
A book of white bricks by American artist John Pound.
Each brick wall, blockade, façade, bench, and block was produced via computer code. Pound utilizes over 35,000 lines of Postscript, developed over three decades, to introduce randomness and chance into his creative process.
John Pound encountered his first computer in the late 1980s and today creates code-based art and comics. His body of work includes illustrated fantasy and sci-fi book covers, underground comix, and cartoons. He gained fame as one of the original artists for Garbage Pail Kids trading cards.
