The Switch R-1 is compatible with standard single “rocker”-style light switches. It is not designed for traditional toggle or double-rocker switches. While it can be used with rocker switches that include a dimmer, the cover will block access to the dimmer control. Installation is simple and requires no tools, but power should always be turned off at the fuse box or circuit breaker before installing.
