The result of a collaborative project which gathered the talent and expertise of 366 Dutch typographers, graphic designers, calligraphers, and illustrators, plus a paper company, seven printers, two cardboard manufacturers, a producer of binding materials, and two bookbinders, Days’ functions as a baroque calendar for graphic design aficionados. Each invited designer was tasked with designing a graphic for a specific date in black-and-white. With a different spread for each day of the year, the book’s series of illustrations and designs reads like a marathon of wildly divergent creative visions, as well as a capsule of contemporary graphic design and illustration in the Netherlands. Every month includes a comprehensive list of those responsible for each day.
