For more than twenty-five years, The Simpsons have brought laughter into homes around the world in a satirical depiction of working-class American life. Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa, and Maggie have become the stars of the longest-running American sitcom in history, and together with the other denizens of Springfield, have parodied American culture, society, and the human condition.
This issue of the Secret Museum of Mankind (SMOM), produced by graphic designers Guillaume Pavia and Emma Chapuis, presents evidence that these very same episodes of The Simpsons predict the future. A number of bizarrely precise predictions in the show have come to pass. This issue graphically presents nine of these events, making a convincing case that there may be more to The Simpsons than meets the eye.
