Josef Müller-Brockmann (GGG Books 23)
Fifty-seven full-color posters by Swiss graphic designer and design educator Josef Müller-Brockmann (1914-1996).
Influenced by the ideas of several different design and art movements including Constructivism, De Stijl, Suprematism, and the Bauhaus, Müller-Brockmann's iconic simple designs and clean use of typography reflect his position as one of the principal practitioners and theorists of Swiss International Style.
This volume includes a concise biography of Müller-Brockmann and a short text, “Philosophical Design,” by Japanese graphic designer Yusaku Kamekura (1915-1997).
