Gemeli Micro Typeface Specimen

Includes “A very small history of very small types,” an essay by historian Sébastien Morlighem about the origins of microscopic typefaces. Morlighem analyzes the historical environment of Gemeli Micro, looking at miniature books, newspaper agate (“a small size of printing-type... half the size of small pica”) and telephone directories, as well as the works of Émile Javal and Ladislas Mandel.
