QUEER.ARCHIVE.WORK #1

Regular price $30.00

An urgent, messy-looking, and future-facing publication, QUEER.ARCHIVE.WORK #1 serves as a “loose assembling” of queer methodologies.

Comprised of a collection of print-on-demand and Risograph-printed zines and prints, the works in this issue share a particular view of network culture, failure, and refutation.

Intended as a signal sent out into muddy waters, QUEER.ARCHIVE.WORK #1 is the start of a speculative practice emerging from (and moving towards) the undercommons—a collective place for subversive artists and writers who reject normative narratives.

This inaugural issue features new work by Jack Halberstam, Nora N. Khan, American Artist, Somnath Bhatt, Nicole Killian, Nate Pyper, shawné michaelain holloway, Unity Press, Be Oakley, Sal Randolph, Porpentine Charity Heartscape, and Demian DinéYazhi´.

Nothing in Q.A.W. #1 is bound. No staples or glue. The nine parts of the publication use folding, nesting, and enveloping as techniques of association. Sheets may be pulled out and rearranged, encouraging new juxtapositions and relationships each time it’s read.
