"Tropical beaches lined with palm trees, lush green meadows and mountainous snowy peaks. Everyday we are surrounded by packaging that shows us these desirable landscapes. Each label is a small paradise that looks exactly like how we imagine it to be. Zooming in on the landscapes, the labels are detached from their commercial message: they are a window to our imagination. Grocery shopping becomes a trip to an exotic world. Simon Kentgens has been collecting and archiving packaging since 2007. The collection now consists of over a 1000 varieties from all over the world."
